2010-11 Season

For the 2010-11 season, Punch Drunk fulfilled the maximum 20 league games for the first time. This was a tremendous effort when you consider how difficult it is to get teams to travel to Ipswich and for Punch Drunk to get to away games.

At the end of the season, our fellow IFA teams voted Punch Drunk as the IFA Team of the Year and the “Pete Fincham Shield” was presented prior to Worldnet 2011 tournament in Leeds. It was a tremendous honour to receive this award.

It was also the season when we lost Barry Parsons. Barry would often come to watch Dan Parsons play and in memory of Barry, the IFA kindly agreed to name the IFA League Top Goalscorer Trophy after him. Dan Parsons was at Worldnet to present Matthew Belford of AFC Telford with the Barry Parsons Cup for the IFA Golden Boot of 2010/11.

Finally, the Punch Drunk awards of the season went to:

Player of the Year: Adam Basham
Young Player of the Year: Rob Candler
